Donn'Anna The Palace is one of the most famous buildings in Naples, it is located in Via Posilippo.
The origins of the building date back to the seventeenth century to the will of Donna Anna Carafa wife of the viceroy Ramiro Núñez de Guzmán, Duke of Medina de las Torres. The project was commissioned as the realizazzione important architect of the city at the time, Cosimo Fanzago who created the project in one year (1642) according to the canons of the Baroque. The Fanzago failed to bring the building to its completion for the death of Donna Anna. The 'unfinished building became the spectacular charm of a ruin hidden by the remains of ancient Roman villas that characterize the coast of Posillipo and the recesses of the caves. Inside of considerable interest is the theater opened to the sea, which boasts a beautiful view of Naples.
Near a neoclassical villa is located belonged to Sir William Hamilton, featuring a terrace facing the sea.
