Monte Faito

Mount Faito, 1131 meters high, is one of the peaks of Lattari chain, mountain group Preappennino fields that make up the backbone of the Sorrento Peninsula, the saddle of Cava de 'Tirreni the southern end of Punta Campanella.

Consisting mainly limestone rocks on the slope of the Gulf of Salerno is characterized by very steep walls of the sea. Its name comes from the dialect word "beech" because the territory is rich in beech as well as oak and chestnut trees.

On top is a sports complex with tennis courts, basketball / volleyball court and swimming pool, reached by cable car from Castellammare di Stabia in 8 minutes by car from the side of Vico Equense.
